Hawaiian POOL?? Party

Saturday night was the GTBOA Hawaiian Pool Party, but it rained so it got moved to my dad and uncle's shop. We had so much fun we never even missed the pool. The band was great. Blind Willie, I think, was the band.
This was Chance's very first social. He's was quite the ladies man! Emily Grace had a blast dancing and learning the hula.

My dad pulling pork! YUMMY!!!

UPDATE ON CHANCE

Today was shot day! POOR BABY!!!My mom had to take him since I had to work. THANKS MOM!!!

THE STATS: 11 weeks tomorrow
13lbs 5 oz
24 inches long

He is a big boy .I’m thinking … FOOTBALL… like his daddy. The doctor also gave us a nebulizer. He has to have 4 breathing treatments every day and we have to switch his formula to soy. This is all new to me. We were very blessed with Emily Grace. She was the picture of health at that age.

THE HISTORY:

Since Chance was about 3 weeks old he started sounding very raspy, wheezed a little and then a few days ago he started coughing. We took him to the doctor and were told it was normal for c-section babies to do that and it would go away around 6 weeks of age. Well, at 5 weeks he sounded worse and we called the doctor, we were told the same thing and to run a humidifier in the rooms he slept in. I really felt a little dismissed.
He is now 11 weeks and it has not gotten any better. In fact, it has gotten worse. Mom took him today to get his shots and then explained to them she knew this was not normal and something needed to be done. Thankfully mom is pretty stern and got their attention. Not to mention he had just taken a bottle so the nurses and doctor could hear what we have been hearing.
We have switched his formula to soy so hopefully this and the treatments will solve the problem. From what I have been hearing around the campus, this is a pretty normal thing?!?!!? I don’t know. I’m praying it is just allergies.

Duck, Duck, Goose... I'm it.

My friend Amanda tagged me so here are 6 unimportant things about me that make me,ME!
ENJOY!

1. I am addicted to Guiding Light. I have my DVR set to record it everyday and I get infuriated if someone deletes it BEFORE I get to watch that days episode.

2. I am about to admit something I have only admitted to my self and my husband. I do not like to be alone, especially in house by myself. There are 2 exceptions , the car and shopping I HAVE to have someone to talk too. Seems to be genetic, my dad and Chance are like this too.

3.I can go into a house, walk through it once and I will remember the furniture positions, number of closets and bathrooms ,bedrooms and where they are. I promise I can remember houses I went into when I was a child only once and I could tell you where everything was. Additional fact: I love to look at houses for sale.

4.I am totally freaking out about turning 30 in December!! MIDLIFE CRISIS HERE I COME!!!!

5. A hobby of mine is researching old towns that no longer exist or those that were a lot bigger at some point in time. I love looking at old pictures and reading or listening to stories about them. A good example would be Electric Mills outside of Scooba, MS. Did you know this town had it's own form of money and had one of the best health care and schools around?

6. I cannot IRON!! It's not that I don't try, I'm just not that good at it. I can iron easy stuff, but pleats and nice dress shirts...FORGET IT!!!My husband has to do all of our ironing or it will look really bad when I get finished with it.

Well, these are just some of the unimportant things about me. Now, I tag Jennifer Barksdale, Gita, Katrina, Pam and Tracy.

On my heart...

Do you ever feel that your life is stagnate?Kinda like murky swamp water, which never moves. Or maybe it’s just in a never ending cycle. You do the same thing day after day. Wake up at the same time, eat the same things, drink the same coffee from the same coffee cup day after day, go to the same job and do the same things there, come home, fix the same suppers, wash the same dishes, and then repeat the same nightly routine. You try and change these things and you successfully do change the little things such as those, but when you want to try and change your surroundings, your way of life; you have no luck due to circumstances or people around you. You fight to change the type of existence you have, but it seems as those same things tend to hold you back.
Do you feel like there is more that you should have accomplished and want to accomplish? There is more you want not only for yourself, but for your family, especially for your children?

What can you do with these feelings, these desires? You can’t stuff them in a box under your bed no matter how much you would like to, and the worst is when people tell you guess what, that’s just life and there’s no need to feel this way and if you do GET OVER IT!!! Guess what, though, there is an answer and the answer is GOD. No matter what burdens you, pray about it and turn it over to Him. He will take care of you. He loves us so much and doesn’t want us to hurt. He wants you to give him your burdens .Trust in Him and have Faith that he is there for you.

These words have been on my heart all morning so I decided to sit down at lunch and post them here. I don’t know whether God placed this on my heart for me or for someone else out there, but after writing this I did have a peace within myself. I hope it will do the same for you.

First Day

Today is Emily Grace's first day of preschool at First Baptist. She has been so excited and this morning she was ready to go before I was. I have to admit I was a little upset leaving her at preschool. She is such a big girl, I just can't believe how fast she has grown. When I got ready to leave she waved and told ME to have fun at work. TOO CUTE!!
I forgot to get my camera out of the car so I am going to take some pictures today after I pick her up. I know, I know, what mom FORGETS TO TAKE PICTURES THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!
