UPDATE ON CHANCE
Today was shot day! POOR BABY!!!My mom had to take him since I had to work. THANKS MOM!!!
THE STATS: 11 weeks tomorrow
13lbs 5 oz
24 inches long
He is a big boy .I’m thinking … FOOTBALL… like his daddy. The doctor also gave us a nebulizer. He has to have 4 breathing treatments every day and we have to switch his formula to soy. This is all new to me. We were very blessed with Emily Grace. She was the picture of health at that age.
THE HISTORY:
Since Chance was about 3 weeks old he started sounding very raspy, wheezed a little and then a few days ago he started coughing. We took him to the doctor and were told it was normal for c-section babies to do that and it would go away around 6 weeks of age. Well, at 5 weeks he sounded worse and we called the doctor, we were told the same thing and to run a humidifier in the rooms he slept in. I really felt a little dismissed.
He is now 11 weeks and it has not gotten any better. In fact, it has gotten worse. Mom took him today to get his shots and then explained to them she knew this was not normal and something needed to be done. Thankfully mom is pretty stern and got their attention. Not to mention he had just taken a bottle so the nurses and doctor could hear what we have been hearing.
We have switched his formula to soy so hopefully this and the treatments will solve the problem. From what I have been hearing around the campus, this is a pretty normal thing?!?!!? I don’t know. I’m praying it is just allergies.

yea, it's normal and probably is just allergies.. He should grow out of it all soon. Hunter was a soy formula baby.. Good luck!
I hope Chance gets better soon, maybe the soy formula and breathing treatments will get him straightened out.
Both of my babies were soy from the start of life. Philip was just like Chance. We have went threw breathing treatment, all kind of allergy medicine, and now we are at the age he is starting to get better. Chance just has to grow out of it. Believe me if my two can grow out of allergies so can Chance. Kevin's family has so many allergies in it. You will see a big difference with the treatments. Call me if you have any questions, I don't mind. I would have loved to have someone answer some I had about breathing treatments.
