No baby as of today. We went in for the amnio yesterday morning and recieved the results around 2:00 that the baby's lungs have not yet matured. Most of the time at 37 1/2 weeks they should have already matured, but with the diabetes the baby's body produces a protein that slows maturation.My Dr went ahead and scheduled the csection for May 29 like orginally planned. Hopefully the lungs will be mature by that time. I'm not really sure what to expect.

Hi Kim, I will be thinking of you all and hope things go well on the 29th. I hope the baby's lungs have matured good by then. Will this be your first Csection? I never had one but some people say they wouldn't do it any other way...I wish you luck and can't wait to hear all about the sweet baby.
