The Weekend

Friday began as a normal day. I got up and got ready for work. Went to work and then I had a doctor's appointment. I felt great!! No headaches, in a great mood couldn't have asked for any better or so I thought. When I got into the Dr office the nurse checked my blood pressure as usual and then asked me if I was feeling ok. I of course said yea I feel great why? Lawanda(the nurse) looked at me with those eyes ( we all know that look) and said well your BP is 162/105. So, she had me lay on my left side, so after a few seconds of manuevering my pregnant self over I finally get to my left side and she leaves. A few minutes later she and my doctor come in and with the same look the nurse gave me and ask,"how are you feeling?" I am great! Well, at least I thought I was. He then takes my BP and then sends me to the hospital!! The good news is my bp had come down to 155/100, but that's not quite low enough to stay out of the hospital.
So , I call Greg and we go to NMMC in West Point and have a very expensive weekend in a hospital room. The good way to look at it is , meals in bed and no house work!!!!! WHOHOO!!!
I was released Saturday night around 6:30 and I got to come back to work today upon the promise I would do nothing more that sit at my desk and check emails. Seeing that's the main part of my job , I had no problem with this.
My diagnose is : I am predispositioned for chronic hypertension . so, in other words it is not Preeclamsia, but it is almost a given that I will have high Blood pressure at some point in my life. It's genetic, but with me being only 24 weeks pregnant I have to be VERY careful. I'm on BP medicine and I have to go back to my dr on Wednesday. So , please if anyone happens to read this please keep me and my baby boy in your prayers. We need them, please don't forget Greg and Emily Grace either. With this pretty much all of our household chores have been thrown onto Greg.
